Dr. Black & Associates
In May 2015, DVM Sasha Black became the owner of the King Hopkins Pet Hospital (KHPH). Her extensive knowledge on canine, feline and exotic animals – including avians – are one of the reasons that make her an amazing 24 hour clinic doctor. Sasha’s love for pets and compassion for owners is what led her into the field, including owning King Hopkins Pet Hospital and Millennium City Veterinary Clinic. Sasha Black’s motto, and KHPH signature brand is to ensure quality and outstanding patient and client care, ensuring elated smiles and healthy pets.
Sasha Black is from the beautiful paradise island of Jamaica where the breeze and the people are warm. This may explain her very warm, inviting and relaxed personality.
At the age of six she was consumed by the wonders of veterinary medicine as she watched the vets come by her grandfather’s farm to treat the animals. What fascinated her the most was the fact that the animals couldn’t say what ailed them, but with the placement of a stethoscope or a thermometer as well as other instruments, their condition was diagnosed and treated by the veterinary geniuses.
At home Sasha grew up with mostly dogs but had one cat, Ginger who stole her heart from the first day she joined the family pets. Sasha continued her educational pursuit and was elated to realize her life-long dream when in May 2003, she graduated from the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine.
